Halloween
Every year thousands of cosmetic spooky contact lenses are sold for Halloween. A recent Omnibus survey reveals that 7% of the general public have worn zero-powered contact lenses which has led to an increase in A&E admissions around the Halloween period. Please make sure you don’t find yourself in this situation.
Spooky Contact Lenses
Many have never worn contact lenses and do not know how to safely insert and remove them. Not knowing how to use lenses safely increases your risk of developing serious eye infections, injuries and in severe cases can lead to permanent sight loss.
If you are wanting to wear spooky lenses this Halloween then please do speak to us. When worn safely, the risks associated with wearing cosmetic lenses are low and we are here to advise you. However when lenses are bought illegally (i.e. online or from a market stall) you are denied important safety checks which put your eyes at risk.
